Pratap Shetty RESIDENCY
Visiting from Mumbai, India, here is a true choreographer to the stars (Shilpa
Shetty, Sonu Nigam and Kumar Sanu). Pratap Shetty will lead a week of
residency time to develop choreography with a selected group of eager Bollywood dancers.* Pratap’s expertise includes Latino, Classical Indian, Arabic, fusion, Samba and Hawaiian dance. All this is mixed into a delicious blend of authentic Bollywood style direct from its source. Earlier this year Shetty choreographed Microsoft’s Vista launch in India involving 70 dancers, as well as India’s spectacular part in the opening ceremony at the Asian Games in Doha, Qatar. If you have a passion for new dance styles or are already hooked on Bollywood, this is an amazing residency that you can join. The structure will be a 12.00 - 13.00 class followed by rehearsals with Pratap from 13.30 – 16.00 every day. The final show will be performed at the fabulous Glasgow Mela. Melange Network and Glasgow Mela will support your travel and refreshments on the day. It’s an unforgettable, fantastic experience waiting to happen to you!

* You do NOT need to be a professionally trained dancer but you do need to be proficient in jazz,Bollywood or hip hop styles and be committed to being present at all rehearsals.
