Pratap Shetty

Pratap brings vibrant energy to the Indian stage – and to any stage across the globe looking for the best of modern and traditional Indian dance. Led by exciting young Mumbai choreographer Pratap Shetty, Pratap Dance is in much demand from Oslo to Muscat, from Dubai to Dublin, in Atlantic City, Amsterdam, Lucknow and Shimla. Whether your choice is modern western dance, Indian film dance, folk dance of India, Indian classical dance, fusion, can-can, samba, Hawaiian – or all of these, Pratap can provide a tailor-made dance programme

Pratap’s choreography has contributed to a range of Indian films including Silsiley, Detective Nani, Dil Hi Dil Mein, Love in Nepal and Bardash. Pratap has choreographed on numerous occasions for Shilpa Shetty, recently gaining major recognition in the west for her 'Big Brother' TV experience. Pratap has also appeared and choreographed with Udita Goswami, Malaika Arora, Kumar Sanu, Sonu Nigam and Yana Gupta. Pratap’s work on the film floor smoothly translates to the stage as his choreography has translated to the stages of Germany, Norway, UK, South Africa, Muscat, Belgium, Ireland, Pakistan, Dubai, and USA – and all over India. Pratap’s stage choreography includes many Award ceremonies.

Last year Pratap choreographed and appeared in India's contribution to the opening ceremony of the Asian Games at Doha. 2007 opened with Pratap sharing a stage with Bollywood icon Amitabh Bachchan as the new desi star from USA, Ozzie launched his debut DVD in Mumbai. When Microsoft India launched their new 'Vista' software in late January it was Pratap who choreographed the 70 dancers involved. March saw his choreography at the Punjabi Music Awards ceremony, broadcast by ETC TV worldwide. Later in the year he was in Glasgow, Scotland in a dance residency, before rushing back to India to choreograph Rakhi Sawant and Abhishek Awasthi in Nach Baliye 3 on Star Plus. By November the team were way ahead of the field in the judges marking and Pratap had notched up three of four succesive weeks as 'choreographer of the week'.

Nach Baliye 3's most successful choreographer is definitely Pratap Shetty as he has continued to impress the judges and blow away competition in Nach Baliye. From the last two weeks he has got star medal back to back.
