Anjana Puri

Anjana Puri is a post graduate in Hindustani vocal music. Anjana was formally trained in music by Sulochana Brihaspati of the Rampur Sadarang Parampara, Sajjan Lal Brahmabhatt of the Gwalior Gharana and Afghanisthan's well-known musician the late Ustad Hashim Mehmud of the Patiala gharana. She has composed music for several plays of Rang Vidhushak of Bhopal, where she is based. With Rang Vidushak theatre group, Anajana also acts.

Anjana has been training actors in music, voice production and speech in different parts of India for many years. She has been conducting theatre workshops on co-ordinating voice with movement for adults and children.

The acclaimed Koothu-p-pattarai in Chennai is one of the theatre groups with whom Anjana has directed a production. The Images of Asia festival in Denmark is one of several overseas events with which Anjana has been associated. Currently Anjana is working with other Melange associates on concepts for European touring of Indian performance work.
